I've used tough books quite a lot on the army. And some of the weird things like quick release drives and the privacy screen make a lot of sense in the military. You can switch a computer from a classified enclave to an unclassified network that has internet access if you swap out the drive. Also say you need a bunch of clients to run an application for a class or something and the next week there's a different class on an application. You can store drives configured for each usage and just swap them in and out depending on the class. It can come up alot depending where you're at in the military.

We have tons of CF-53s and CF-54s at work, I actually really like them, I'd love one as a daily driver, they aren't really THAT bulky and are really rugged and solidly built.

My build-out would be more RAM, extra I/O, Blu-Ray drive (if it's a writer).

They should open source the modules so that people could make more shit. Maybe this will help spreading it and making it common.

Unfortunately, I can't upgrade to a dedicated graphics card. Will the M.2 SSD and extra 10 GB improve performance closer to an I7 processor? I have two trading platforms and multiple Google Chrome tabs running concurrently, and my processor fluctuates between 30% and 90%. My ram uses 5 GB out of 6GB, and I have lagging issues with the platforms, and one of them crashes on me. Thanks.
