Numbers don't make sense at all
They charge $50 for a bottle of water thats why
3:57 DULLES REPRESENT
Where is all the information taken from? I need the source for a report that I´m doing
also nowone whould use UK domestic flights. the UK is tiny.
8:20 Where is that place? It look familiar.
0:29 *Anchorage*
Amazing and awesome video
This explains why London Heathrow was my worst airport experience except maybe Chuuk.
If you are need I money I want to meet.Jeffy 1225-306-1914
I've never been to an airport where you don't have to walk through duty free?
💲🙌
Considering most of the video is about Heathrow it makes it more confusing than usual that is in dollars 😭😭 Surely most of the people that view this channel can't be from one country so just talk about it in the currency from the relevant country, the world is so much bigger than the USA
Because the dollar is the most used unit of currency in the world.
You do understand that you can't just take one flight and get to Australia you need a stopover somewhere
0:40 kinda looks like the bottom of an icelandair aircraft
nvm
Thank you Wendover for this video!!! Now it makes sense as to why I needed to transit through Amsterdam when I wanted to fly from London to Manchester. #notkidding.
Nice info. I am an Avid traveler. My opinion Worst airport - Frankfurt. Employees treat travelers like thrash. Best Airport - Indira Gandhi International Airport , Delhi India. Travelers are treated like Kings. Food court is awesome , shopping to fantastic, and believe me it is the cleanest.
After waiting two hours for a flight paying 5 bucks for a .33 soda seems agreeable :)
Are government owned airports or private airports more profitable for the country
lol I got an Air Canada ad
How do airports not make money? Cheeky sods make you pay for anything and everything
One worker salary is 76,000
I live in Amarillo TX, I don't know how the airport makes any money, they have a small bar, no retail.
This is an amazing channel to understand airlines business love it ☁️
Airlines pay a fee to use the airport.
What ping this feels like dajavo
The only thing I ever buy at an airport is food to eat at a sit-down restaurant, that way I won't be hungry on flights and have to subject myself to bad airline food.
U didn’t mention that a huge source of their profit comes from flight refunds as they refund a little bit of the money
Parsa's Life and flight delays because airlines get charged for every minute there in the tarmac
Also, although technically Stansted and East Midlands are "municipal", the municipality is Manchester which isn't near either.
Ok so I live in the UK and I've been to Heathrow loads? there are loads of other Airports in London that can take you to the uk airports, people dont care that Heathrow doesnt have much travel to the UK (but those 8 airports are the main ones anyway) and it makes loads of money as you say. Very impressive

Awesome make security check in as quick as possible so people spend more time at the airport making them spend more... seems like security is second on the list in priority
You have to remember though that Heathrow is fairly central in the UK there isn’t much point running 10-20 minute flights, take London stansted airport for example, stansted is only (roughly) 42 miles from Heathrow. It makes a lot of sense for Amsterdam to have flights to different parts of the UK because it’s quickest and (usually) cheaper to fly from Amsterdam too Heathrow, it’s expensive and inefficient to run flights nationally which is why Heathrow only runs a certain amount.
There's four airports in London, no one needs to go through Heathrow
I feel like you should change the title to "The Economics of Airports"
I feel that title would deter people, as many people see the word economics and thing complex, heavy and dry
7:46 and humberside
Bassano sei tu?
They rip you off on everything!!!
That's weird to see that the U.S.A. hasn't privatized airports.
SEXUAL CONTENT REPORTED
It’s the same here in Northern Virginia, Dulles is Heathrow, and Ronald Reagan Airport in District Of Columbia is Amsterdam.
Newcastle yay
It is called THIEFRO because of landing fees and baggage theft/
You are absolutely wrong about heathrow, It doesn't constantly service the 6 inhabited continents. Your number throughout the entire video are wrong and too low by multiples. You are entirely wrong about the privitization of Airports in US. All of them are privately owned because the US Government owns no companies and can't own companies. Stop lying about dumb shit and fact check.
And where are your "facts"?
And Heathrow does have flights daily to Africa, Asia, North America, south America, Oceania, Europe.
I love flying and airports. My favorite airport is Seattle's Sea Tac. Great food, Nice and big and love to hang out at the delta lounge.
$10 20oz bottled water that's how.
It's cheaper to do cocaine.
Why do airports always have the worst restaurants? Like it’s just average ones like wagamamas and pret a manger
I just flew to Branson Airport the other day. Literally everyone I heard on the radio except one guy was a student pilot like my self. Hopefully it doesn’t go under.
