Agree with you also on the Blue Driver scan tool. Bought one about 5 years ago just to keep in the glove box in case I ran into someone needing a scan tool while traveling. Excellent choice for the price!

So Scotty, I am a wheelchair user who has a Chrysler town and country that has 105k miles on it. It has a ramp system and hand controls. They don't make this model anymore and I was considering a Honda odyssey, but not after seeing your videos on the Hondas. What would you recommend? Are the pacificas any good?

Bought 2019 Civic 6sp manual sport with the last 4cyl v-tech they're offering. Avoided the turbo like the plague. Mechanic at my Honda dealership (who owns a new Si) said I made a really good choice not getting the turbo.

Just for info it does not apply to the 2l I-VTEC 158HP K20c2 on the civic 2016-19. It''s still port injected and pretty robust design as a K20.

Extreme fuel efficiency and emissions standards are fine with car makers since they get to sell you a new car when the old one beats itself to death.

Most mechanics including scotty and Honda do not understand what really causes the dilution issue in any DI engine. high pressure Fuel pump which is operated by a cam shaft leaks gasoline right there. The high pressure pump is reciprocating type that's why i leaks gasoline.

I do wonder about what inherent flaw is causing oil dilution. Is it the pressure at the injector inside the combustion chamber in proximity to the cylinder bore actually spraying atomized fuel by the oil control piston rings because cold engine tolerances?

The pinnacle of Japanese car manufacturing was in the early 1990s to early 2000s, when they were engineering cars that could beat the Germans at their own game (and they DID!). Since then, it's been on a gradual downward slide. CVTs? Direct injection? Small-displacement, highly-stressed turbo engines? Not for me.

But after watching this video I want to run to Toyota to trade it in. Thanks for keeping us informed. I gotta check on that extra year on the warranty too. I bought mine as a pre-owned certified warranty vehicle. Not sure I got that offered. At any rate I’m going to start looking to trade it in I guess.

capitalism babbyyyyyyy , make the product with as shitty of parts as possible as long as the customers keep buying em. honda is propped up on their 30+ year reliability foundation. now they can take some short cuts and increase their margins without loyalty really taking any dip. we'll see in the next 5-7 years how many and how big of shortcuts that honda took during the 2015-20xx production cars.

Toyota is the best if you ignore every bad thing that they have ever done, and the murder lol.

I would think manufactures are purposely not building cars that can last a long time anymore for reasons being that well they want people to keep buying, buy, and buying cars.
