Try living in Atlantic Canada, where these is not only road salt for half the year, but also salt in the air (from the sea) that works away on the metals on cars. The 6th generation Celica's are in the junk yards. All the yellow headlight tailgaiting, zero maintenance Toyota crap mobile crowd drive 2000-2010 models here. Corolla insurance rates are high here due to all the accidents. Anyways sorry Scotty I can't join in on the Toyota fan boy club for these types of cars. Tundra, Sequoia, Tacoma and 4Runner are all fine vehicles with some actual metal.

I gotta argue with Scotty, the '92 Celica was the best. My main argument is POP UP, UP AND DOWN HEADLIGHTS and it didn't have those meth head looking circles like in the '93 and on models.

The gt-four is my second argument and I don't think much more needs to be said about that.

Finally, I think it was more reliable than the other Celicas. I drove my '92 like it was a rally car and the only thing to ever go bad was the fuel pump after 25 years. I don't recall it burning oil either. The was a small issue with the top leaking, but that was after a branch fell on it during a storm.

What killed it was me not knowing much about cars at the time. Not knowing that it was a stupid fuel pump and not the injectors or spark plugs or anything except the fuel pump. Parents convinced me to scrap it for fecking 200 bucks. Worst decision I've ever made.

Hi Scotty. Always enjoy your videos. I'm from New Zealand. Bought a Toyota Vista year 2000. Had it for the last 3 years. It ran OK for the first couple of years then all kinds of problems - faulty oxygen sensor, clogged intake manifold, dirty air filter & more. It used to judder & jerk badly at freeway speeds. Finally found a mechanic who knew what was wrong. I thought it was fixed but now the "econ" symbol, instead of flashing on intermittently, is staying on permanently. What this means is that if I'm waiting for the lights at a busy intersection, instead of a smooth, steady idle the revs drop as if it's going to stall, causing some anxiety! Do you think it's a simple fix or should I be looking to buy a different car? I'm kind of fed up with this one. Is the new Corolla OK? What's your opinion about the Suzuki Swift? I'm guessing your advice might be a '99 Celica! Hope you are well. Bye for now.

I'm intrigued about the engine differences between Toyota in the US and the UK. Here in the UK, I have an MR2, the 158hp version. The later versions of the Mk 2 MR2 had the Celica engine in it, giving 177hp. I don't recall the Celica coming with such low power engines as you mention in the UK.

Cleaner engine bay the better cause u can see leaks when they start and dont get nasty dirty trying to do something simple. I can't stand a dirty engine bay lol idc what anyone says I've never ever had a problem after cleaning a engine bay . I always cover the alternator and things like that to keep from getting them wet and the fuse boxes .

I hadn't started my 02 Chevy Express van in so long, months, the battery was flat.

Jumpered it to the other 02 van, let it charge a while, when the battery finally got hot enough to crank it just a little, it fired right off and ran fine.

So if anyone needs an 02 Express extended, $1500 cash takes it. Needs a yoke seal ($8 on Rock Auto) and will probably need another rotor swap ($11 used at the you pull yard) because once they rust they'll warp with use.
