The challenge should go to a replay center instead of the Ref that called it.

you guys probably don’t know much about nhl hockey but when there is a close call a third party is the one who decides the call not the refs nor the coaches, they do this to make the result as unbiased as possible

The best solution to these refs' power trip is to fine them after the game for an incorrect call. The league assumes the refs can't be wrong. 🙄😏

Definitely need a head ref to overrule the floor ref, that was most definitely not a foul, there was so much flop involved in that play that it was like watching someone work at McDonald’s during a rush hour flopping burgers on the grill

They need to implement a review of the last 10 secs of game play. So that what ever happened if it be a foul out of bounds or whatever just make the right call

Honestly, if a call is that bad players should just opt to walk off. What's the point? I understand refs can't always get it right but looking at that, there is no reason they should not overrule the initial call.

Also where did this notion of i'm a ref i can't be wrong? Well all make mistakes and what you saw on the court was a "flop". It was then reviewed that's your chance as ref to say yep "my bad". To stick to your original call is just beyond a joke.

Clear flop. These refs are blind as a bat. They watched it in slowmo and figured it was a legitimate offensive foul.

This what I am trying to point out from the beginning, fast paced game is overrated. It is good at the beginning but having it most of the time play by play can cause the game to be dull and less dynamic.

Not necessarily implying to make tge game similar to the classics where it is like a game of ramble. Making the game slightly tough or less soft would significantly improve the league greatly. All players would now have a better role both in offense and defense. Evryone can now be a potential threat especially in the defensive perspective. Currently you can't even slightly strong arm the ball handler, defenders are less willing to commit a lock down defense for the reasons that referees might throw another whistle at them.

NBA is now heavilly leaning more on endurance/speed instead of strength/agility in which the latter makes the game more interesting. Less predictable and more fun to watch. It would also benefit the players more, they will have better rest and better recovery. If you notice that more and more players are prudently exercising their rights to load manage, this just points out how the game is already changing and the players themselves are falling behind with regards to how to adjust their style of plays to the way the game has become. This is a good move for them, not being pressured by the owners and especially the viewers. At the end of the day it is their personal decisions that matter most.

I highly believe this would improve the game in multiple folds. But I guess this is just up to the viewers and Adam Silver. No disrespect to Curry and other sharp shooters but it seems like the noticeable change in officiating is more of the disrupter/game changer on how the league is being played right now. This does not only affect how players play their games but also the coaches gameplans and decisions are also already affected. Popovich knows it and you can see how he prefers the recent era of NBA better compared to how soft it is right now.

The main point is fast paced is good but it is also better to mix it with another different kinds of dynamics and making the game slightly less sensitive to foul calls would be a good idea for balance and compromise.

I don't see how the league is not insulted by that. The refs are basically saying F*** you to the system, and costing teams timeouts in the process.

And NOW, if the league kowtows to the refs and takes challenges out of the system again, they're basically saying there are no repercussions for mutiny. When the players want change, or when teams want change, they have to go through a process to Institute change. Meanwhile the refs can just say F you, you can't make us do anything - and that's supposed to fly? That is the epitome of unprofessional

I think foul ruling-amendment would solve all the problems. Call it the harden rule, idc but something needs to be done about these soft foul rules. Harden gets defensive foul calls when he purposely tangles himself up in the defender. The infamous 3pt shot foul-flops of last season and still this season, can't be rewarded. The challenging rule is great for late game calls that change the game significantly, but other than that, its just fuel for discussion about who's right. And that never got anyone further.

If aref after seeing this replay several times in slow motion and does not overturn it... i think he should be fired. Honestly, if that in your mind as a ref was a foul, you should not call NBA games. I think that foul should been overturned and bledsoe shpuldthen receive a technical foul for flopping. This is a joke. Some more, i’m sure Doc will getfined for critizing the refs...hypocrites.

But, seriously, you cannot guard someone from the side, by diving your head down in front of them, in order to impede their progress. Even if the player did run into someone's face, that face needs to have a body attached to it, in a legal guarding position. So, it's a blocking foul, unless there was no contact; in which case, there is no foul.
