    John Meadows is an American professional bodybuilder and entrepreneur with an intriguing story. While John now boasts a successful career as an IFBB Pro bodybuilder and fitness company owner, his journey towards the top was extremely difficult.

    Growing up, John never met his father, and his mother died at an extremely young age. This meant John only had his grandmother to take care of him. When his grandmother tragically passed away in 1999, John was left alone without his family to support him.

    As the years went by, John continued to face new adversities in his life. During his early days in bodybuilding, John suffered from a rare colon disease. After fighting the disease for several months, his colon burst – almost resulting in his death. Luckily, John was quickly rushed to an emergency room where his life was saved. After several months of recovery, John was finally back on his feet.

    Coming back into bodybuilding, John used the very obstacles that almost cost him his life as ‘fuel’ to grow stronger. Ever since he recovered from the colon surgery, John has gone on to become a successful bodybuilder, entrepreneur, and inspiration for many people all over the world.

            i like it but i probably wouldnt do the external rotation with it..i would do the row and the supination

                  How would rear flyes not work rear delts? I get a pump every single time and quickly. And it is a strong pump cause it’s such a small muscle.

                                      I agree with you Jon, you DONT always have to be able to a "full" stretch, because sometime the inability to "fully" stretch , IS what is fully contracting that muscle regarding that specific movement

                                        Only problem is of you have shoulder problem you should face pull from a downward angle, when you do it from an upper angle you lift your shoulders out of the way it sits in the pocket, can increase pain. If you dont have any problem it doesn't matter. I had crazy shoulder pain from a broken vertebra in my c spine. I went from bro split to push/pull/legs split and it fixed my pain. Turns out you overwork the front in the bro split. I feel best I ever have after my injury too. If you have shoulder problems try this split until you fix it. Then do what you want but do extra back day in your bro split to compensate for the push chest day and the push shoulder day, need two pull days

                                              A reverse fly is phenomenal when someone’s core isn’t loose, when he hasn’t made a habit to engage everything with his upper traps and when the reverse fly machine seat has a precise 90 degree angle and the handles move in a precise straight line. Many new line machines have an incline seat and handles that move slightly up (on a regular fly) to combat shoulder strain (ironic because it does nothing). So when you attempt to reverse fly with something that is fixed (a machine) and doesn’t move in a straight line parallel to the floor, not only you won’t hit the rear delts much but you’re an excellent candidate for injury.

                                                          Thanks for providing such great insight beyond the exercises. Great to know the in and outs of being geared and natural. I have had a people ask questions about this for years. You'e one of the few pros. Who is not afraid to provide an open and ojective opinion.

                                                          I am a 61 year old personal trainer. I started lifting 43 years ago. Some things have changed and some things have not. What we all inherently knew about training back in the day has clearly been validated today with studies and science.
