I don’t know what has brought me to your channel. I was born and raised in a small farm town in Wisconsin. I now live in Chicago and hate every second of it. Watching your videos really makes me feel like I’m back home. I’ve also forwarded videos to friends down here to show them what real farming is really like. So thank you. Keep it up

I don't understand how you'd harvest any wet grain as you'd lose it in the thresh. I operated Headers in Australia for yrs, growing up Dad was a mainly wheat farmer and had the 1st self propelled header he bought new in November 1962.sold in NSW And the second one sold in Australia. Not bsd for a man who went to the Property 8 yrs earlier as a station hand, he started out buying 2nd hand farming gear he got on hire Purchase. His Header or combin harvester he brought new in 62 was a John Deere who brought them out 1st. Anyway his friend went to Canada in about 1968 and told Dad when they stripped wheat there, It still had ice on it when it was augered!! Dad d never lie about it nor his mate who seen it. If anyone has a video of Grain being harvested with Ice still on the grain, Please send the video in. Thanks

I used to work on Sukup's service crew. A lot of their equipment is top notch, but the fit and finish of their unloads usually left a bit to be desired. By the way, if you want to quiet your dry grain blower down, you can put a pair of big diesel mufflers before and after the blower. We did that on ours and it went from almost intolerable to quiet enough to have a conversation five feet away without yelling.

Gosh this video scared me. I got run over by a tractor about two years ago. I was young so I healed up basically to the point like it never happened. But I still have little scares about. Seeing him work and look around this combine next to the tires and just under that thing sent chills down my back.

You are balancing highly complex variables to make critical business decisions. Then on top of working what seems like 20+ hrs a day you are an awesome father, husband, and son.

What I find happening is that if you have your sieve in, its very easy to get a relatively high volume of tailings, and therefore you can very easily overload your chaffer unevenly.

I assume you have round bar concaves in and no blanks in the separator part of the rotor? Because they don’t help and it’s extremely rare they make any difference.

If you have set screws coming loose constantly put a little of your wife's nail polish or varnish on the first few threads. But if you cover all of the threads you'll have to drill it out. Not cool.

This also works on the screws that hold knobs to your cabinet drawers and doors.
