How could anyone forget? The Warriors really didn't need KD. He's just the X-factor to solidify that they keep winning. It's a symbiotic relationship. KD needed rings and did just that. But they can do it without him. And with Lebron's Cavs not in the picture, there is no legitimate challenge for the throne. That's why now that KD has his rings that he must leave and get his own team that needs hope, playoff contention, and a title to build upon his legacy and brand. He got those rings the easy way. It may not have always been easy but he got on the team that gave him the best chance for doing that. I don't fault him for it, but after the 2019 season, he has to pack his bags.

The Warriors basically don’t even try when KD is on the floor. They lack the motivation and sense of urgency because they have such a big safety net to fall onto.
