LTT: spends all his money on PC parts instead of getting some new jeans and some nice shoes. Love this dude.

shadow pc is honestly pretty damn impressive, i'm currently using it right now and it runs all of my games flawlessly. plus if i have other computer needed tasks to do i can just use shadow and use it anywhere there is wifi or on my phone anywhere i have an lte connection which is just about almost everywhere now. it's definitely a good buy and if im not mistaken there is supposed to be a pretty decent price drop and hardware upgrade in the next couple months. if you dont have the cash right now for a gaming pc or just a pc in general this is by far and away the best second (and it's better than many local computers as well) out there imo.

So I can play games without the stutter on my i5 8th Gen laptop? It's a 8250u but my other games work smooth compared to GTA 5 and Star Citizen the only games I wish would work without stutter, Is Shadow really worth monthly price?

Be careful with this company! I'm not saying it isn't legit. In fact, I haven't actually tried it out yet. However, I did go through the sign up process and I'm waiting for my "shadow" to be set up. So, what's the beef?

Linus, you REALLY need to address the fact that the GHOST unit is NOT included with your subscription. It does cost extra. A whopping $140 U.S. extra. Even with the discount right now, it's $99.99 and not even available. This is completely misleading, given this is advertised as a PC replacement, for you to advertise something as a "gaming" set up that doesn't allow you to properly "game" without spending extra money.

Also, if you do sign up, the page that asks for your CC info is the last page. Apparently, "proceed to checkout" means we're taking your money to shadow. There's nothing to confirm. No additional information for you to see. Once you click that, it's done. Not complaining, just noting as it isn't standard. If you shop on Amazon, or eBay, "proceed to checkout" takes you to the page where you confirm everything before you actually buy it.

no they won't, stadia for one isn't even a full fledged pc like shadow is, secondly shadow actually works unlike stadia (and it works pretty damn well) lol ive used both and shadow is by far and a way much better. the stadia beta (it was called project stream) from last year actually worked better than the official release does currently.

I swear to God no one is going to kill gaming PCs as long as people want to be able to customize their rigs to the point where they can max out shadow of the tomb raider and not play it on some pussy ass very high. I already have a 2080 TI they can play this bitch maxed out, why in the fuck would I want a cloud-based experience that lags in shooters and fighting games. Seriously fuck cloud gaming. people need to stop with this we are going to kill regular traditional PC gaming. It's bullshit, it's just another option and there's no fucking way most people will go for it. Latency is a problem and as long as that is a problem, there's no way in hell I will ever jump on the bandwagon for this

Do you need to own the actual games for your Steam account or are they included as well? It's a console like thing that will work for some people. I will never use something like this for my daily driver. Loan based things are taking off in a lot of areas. Around here, loaned bicycles are taking off, 20€ per month with repairs included. My current bike cost me about 500€ over the last 8 years, initial price and upgrades/repairs. The loaned bike would be nearly 2000€ by now. This is only good for a short time or people with no math skills, mostly.

Its not a console at all. You can run all games. All software. All mods and hacks. All work programms. You just have to manage your Windows yourself.
15$ is a good price for 1080p/60 High (not ultra) settings. I suggest to get 512GB additional storage to it.

Shadow runs via Windows 10 and ToS rules, but you can crash it how much you want and do whatever you want until they ban you for breaking the ToS by doing illigal crimes or smth. after you actually did it, because you are actually able to. (This is just an example. Don't do it.)

They are totally differently set up. And the whole networking side is totally not the same.
Basically the only thing in that they are the same is that they stream games to your hardware and you can give input back.

I'll always rather build my own PC, pay for it once, and build a new one when it's obsolete. Still leagues cheaper. And no guarantee all high speed internet will even work with it.
